My First Wedding Cake

So, last week was so fun that I decided to play again with Candid Carrie on her Friday Foto Finish Fiesta.

I though, since I made my second tiered cake this weekend, I would post my first this time. Here it is:

I made this cake for my husband's sister's wedding. It is chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and frosted in chocolate buttercream. I surrounded the tiers in dark and white chocolate truffles.

That looks so yummy!

I've never done a wedding cake, only showers and one anniversary.

That's impressive!

I'm impressed! I'm too much of a stress bucket to try a wedding cake like this. Heck a one tiered cake would be a challenge for me. I know they loved it. How lucky that they have you in the family to make such beautiful cakes for all their past and upcoming occasions.

Wow. I would love to dive into it head first and devour the heaping teirs of chocolate love.

If you are going to keep posting these yummy pictures we seriously need to find a way to transport them through the computer. I can't take it!

I tired to make an Effile Tower cake once and let me tell you that was a disater and I haven't made a cake of any kind since then.

That cake looks delicious. I can't help but wonder how many little fingers waited patiently to sneak one of those truffles when no one else was looking!
